Diese Nutzungsbedingungen gelten für die Nutzung der mobilen Anwendung „HolyWalk“ (nachfolgend „App“), angeboten von Jonas Polenz (nachfolgend „wir“/„Anbieter“). Mit der Installation und Nutzung der App erkennst du diese Nutzungsbedingungen an. Für den Bezug kostenpflichtiger Zusatzfunktionen („Premium“) gelten ergänzend die Nutzungsbedingungen von Apple (Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions), da der Kaufvorgang vollständig über Apples In-App-Kauf-System (StoreKit) abgewickelt wird.
Lizenzvertrag ist Apples Standard-EULA. Die App wird unter Apples „Standard End User License Agreement“ lizenziert, abrufbar unter apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Diese Nutzungsbedingungen treten ergänzend daneben und beschreiben, was die App leistet, was Premium umfasst und wie du kündigst. Sie ersetzen die Apple-EULA nicht; wo sich beide widersprechen, geht für die Lizenz an der Software die Apple-EULA vor.
HolyWalk verbindet das Gehen mit dem Lesen der Bibel: Die App liest — mit deiner Erlaubnis — deine zurückgelegte Gehstrecke aus Apple Health und öffnet mit wachsender Strecke nacheinander die Kapitel der Bibel. Der kostenlose Grundumfang umfasst das Verfolgen der zurückgelegten Strecke, die gesamte Bibel — je nach gewähltem Leseplan 1.189 Kapitel im evangelischen oder 1.326 im katholischen Kanon, mit den dazugehörigen Illustrationen —, die Karte der biblischen Orte und die Startseite mit deinem Fortschritt. Kein Kapitel der Bibel ist kostenpflichtig.
Das kostenpflichtige Angebot („Premium“) schaltet zusätzliche Funktionen frei, unter anderem: vier Pilgerwege (Camino Francés, Via Francigena, Paulus-Route, Kreuzweg in Jerusalem) mit Pilgerpass und Stempeln, auf die dieselbe gelaufene Strecke zusätzlich angerechnet wird; das Widget für den Home-Bildschirm (gelaufene Strecke und aktuelle Bibelstelle); sowie „Direkt zum Neuen Testament“, das das Alte Testament auf einen Schlag öffnet und die Lesung ab dem aktuellen Kilometerstand im Neuen Testament beginnen lässt — dies verändert die Reihenfolge des Leseplans und schaltet keinen Text frei, der nicht auch ohne Premium durch Gehen erreichbar wäre. Der genaue Funktionsumfang kann sich durch Weiterentwicklung der App ändern; wesentliche Verschlechterungen werden angekündigt.
Premium ist wahlweise als automatisch verlängerliches Abonnement (monatlich oder jährlich) oder als Einmalkauf mit dauerhafter Freischaltung („Premium für immer“) erhältlich. Der Erwerb erfolgt ausschließlich über den Apple App Store und wird über diesen abgerechnet. Es gelten die zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs im App Store angezeigten, für dein Land lokalisierten Preise — diese sind maßgeblich, nicht etwaige abweichende Preisangaben innerhalb der App oder auf dieser Seite. Zahlungsabwicklung, Rechnungsstellung und Zahlungsdaten liegen vollständig bei Apple; wir erhalten keine Zahlungsdaten (Kreditkarte o. Ä.). Ein bereits getätigter Kauf lässt sich auf einem neuen Gerät über „Käufe wiederherstellen“ in der App mit derselben Apple-ID erneut freischalten.

Das Abonnement verlängert sich automatisch um den jeweils gewählten Zeitraum (ein Monat bzw. ein Jahr), sofern es nicht spätestens 24 Stunden vor Ablauf der laufenden Periode gekündigt wird. Die Kündigung erfolgt ausschließlich über die Apple-ID-Kontoeinstellungen (Einstellungen → [dein Name] → Abonnements) — nicht innerhalb der App, da Apple diese Verwaltung zentral für alle Abonnements bereitstellt. Eine bereits begonnene Abrechnungsperiode wird bei Kündigung nicht anteilig erstattet; der Zugang zu Premium-Funktionen bleibt bis zum Ende der bezahlten Periode bestehen.
Das Monats-Abonnement kann eine kostenlose Testphase enthalten (derzeit 3 Tage). Ob und mit welcher Dauer eine Testphase für dich verfügbar ist, wird dir vor dem Kauf im Kauf-Bildschirm angezeigt; diese Angabe ist maßgeblich. Apple gewährt pro Apple-ID und Abo-Gruppe nur eine Testphase. Wird das Abonnement nicht spätestens 24 Stunden vor Ablauf der Testphase gekündigt, geht es automatisch in ein kostenpflichtiges Abonnement über. Das Jahres-Abonnement und der Einmalkauf enthalten keine Testphase.
Der Einmalkauf („Premium für immer“) ist kein Abonnement: Er wird einmalig bezahlt, hat keine Laufzeit, verlängert sich nicht und schaltet die Premium-Funktionen dauerhaft frei.
HolyWalk dient der Besinnung und der Motivation zu mehr Bewegung. Die App misst die Gehstrecke und bildet deinen Fortschritt entlang der Bibel und — bei Premium — entlang eines Pilgerwegs ab. Sie ist kein Medizinprodukt, stellt keine Diagnosen, gibt keine Therapieempfehlungen und ersetzt keine ärztliche oder therapeutische Beratung.
Du entscheidest eigenverantwortlich über Art und Umfang deiner körperlichen Aktivität. Bitte überfordere dich nicht, achte auf die Signale deines Körpers und konsultiere vor Beginn oder Steigerung sportlicher Aktivität — insbesondere bei Vorerkrankungen, Beschwerden, in der Schwangerschaft oder bei Unsicherheit — eine Ärztin oder einen Arzt. Die spielerischen Elemente (z. B. das Öffnen von Kapiteln nach Strecke, Stempel im Pilgerpass) sind reine Motivationshilfen und keine Aufforderung zur Überanstrengung.
Wir räumen dir ein einfaches, nicht übertragbares, nicht unterlizenzierbares Recht ein, die App im Rahmen der bestimmungsgemäßen Nutzung auf deinen eigenen Geräten zu verwenden. Eine Weitergabe des Zugangs an Dritte, ein Reverse Engineering (soweit gesetzlich nicht zwingend erlaubt) sowie eine kommerzielle Weiterverwertung der App oder ihrer Inhalte sind nicht gestattet. Der Bibeltext in der App stammt aus gemeinfreien Ausgaben (Lutherbibel 1912 samt Apokryphen, World English Bible Classic, „Santa Biblia libre para el mundo“); die Illustrationen und die eigenen Texte der App sind urheberrechtlich geschützt. Die Karten beruhen auf offenen Geodaten Dritter (Natural Earth, OpenStreetMap, Pleiades, OpenBible.info, Wikidata) und stehen unter deren jeweiligen Lizenzen; die Nennung findet sich im Impressum und in der App unter Einstellungen → Quellen.
Wir bemühen uns um eine hohe Verfügbarkeit der App, können diese jedoch nicht garantieren (Wartungsarbeiten, Ausfälle bei Apple-Diensten wie iCloud oder Health, Gerätefehler). Einzelne Funktionen — insbesondere die Erfassung der Gehstrecke, das iCloud-Backup und die Mitteilungen — setzen entsprechende Berechtigungen und einen funktionierenden Apple-Dienst voraus und liegen außerhalb unseres Einflussbereichs. Die gemessene Strecke ist die von Apple Health gelieferte; für deren Genauigkeit übernehmen wir keine Gewähr.
Wir haften unbeschränkt bei Vorsatz und grober Fahrlässigkeit, für Schäden aus der Verletzung des Lebens, des Körpers oder der Gesundheit sowie nach Maßgabe des Produkthaftungsgesetzes. Bei leicht fahrlässiger Verletzung wesentlicher Vertragspflichten (Kardinalpflichten) ist die Haftung auf den vertragstypischen, vorhersehbaren Schaden begrenzt. Im Übrigen ist die Haftung für leichte Fahrlässigkeit ausgeschlossen.
Die vorstehenden Haftungsbeschränkungen gelten nicht für Schäden aus der Verletzung des Lebens, des Körpers oder der Gesundheit sowie für Ansprüche nach dem Produkthaftungsgesetz; insoweit haften wir nach den gesetzlichen Vorschriften.
Es gilt das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland unter Ausschluss des UN-Kaufrechts. Als Verbraucher:in behältst du jedoch den Schutz der zwingenden verbraucherschützenden Vorschriften deines gewöhnlichen Aufenthaltsorts, die dir durch diese Rechtswahl nicht entzogen werden können. Sollte eine Bestimmung dieser Nutzungsbedingungen unwirksam sein, bleibt die Wirksamkeit der übrigen Bestimmungen unberührt.
Diese Nutzungsbedingungen sind auf Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch verfügbar. Bei Abweichungen zwischen den Fassungen gilt dir gegenüber als Verbraucher:in die Fassung in der von dir verwendeten Sprache.

These Terms of Use govern your use of the “HolyWalk” mobile app (the “App”), provided by Jonas Polenz (“we”/the “Provider”). By installing and using the App you accept these Terms. For paid additional features (“Premium”), Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions apply in addition, because the purchase is handled entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit).
The licence agreement is Apple's standard EULA. The App is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These Terms stand alongside it and describe what the App does, what Premium covers and how to cancel. They do not replace Apple's EULA; where the two conflict, Apple's EULA prevails for the licence to the software itself.
HolyWalk joins walking and reading the Bible: with your permission the App reads your walking distance from Apple Health and, as the distance grows, opens the chapters of the Bible one after another. The free scope covers tracking your distance, the whole Bible — 1,189 chapters in the Protestant canon or 1,326 in the Catholic one, depending on the reading plan you choose, with their illustrations — the map of biblical places, and the home screen with your progress. No chapter of the Bible is paid.
The paid offer (“Premium”) unlocks additional features, including: four pilgrim roads (Camino Francés, Via Francigena, Paul's route, the Way of the Cross in Jerusalem) with a pilgrim passport and stamps, to which the same walked distance is additionally credited; the home-screen widget (walked distance and current Bible reference); and “Straight to the New Testament”, which opens the Old Testament at once and starts your reading in the New Testament at your current distance — it re-orders the reading plan and unlocks no text you could not reach by walking without Premium. The exact scope may change as the App evolves; material reductions will be announced.
Premium is available either as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time purchase with permanent unlock (“Premium forever”). It is purchased and billed exclusively through the Apple App Store. The prices shown in the App Store at the time of purchase, localised for your country, are binding — not any differing prices shown in the App or on this page. Payment processing, invoicing and payment data rest entirely with Apple; we receive no payment data (credit card etc.). A previous purchase can be restored on a new device via “Restore purchases” in the App with the same Apple ID.

A subscription renews automatically for the chosen period (one month or one year) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation is done exclusively in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) — not inside the App, since Apple manages this centrally for all subscriptions. A billing period already begun is not refunded pro rata on cancellation; access to Premium continues until the end of the paid period.
The monthly subscription may include a free trial (currently 3 days). Whether and for how long a trial is available to you is shown on the purchase screen before you buy; that information is binding. Apple grants one trial per Apple ID and subscription group. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically into a paid one. The yearly subscription and the one-time purchase have no trial.
The one-time purchase (“Premium forever”) is not a subscription: it is paid once, has no term, does not renew and unlocks Premium permanently.
HolyWalk serves reflection and motivation to move more. The App measures walking distance and maps your progress along the Bible and — with Premium — along a pilgrim road. It is not a medical device, makes no diagnoses, gives no treatment recommendations and does not replace medical or therapeutic advice.
You alone decide the kind and extent of your physical activity. Please do not overexert yourself, listen to your body, and consult a doctor before starting or increasing physical activity — especially with pre-existing conditions, complaints, during pregnancy or when in doubt. The playful elements (chapters opening with distance, stamps in the passport) are motivational aids only, not a call to overexertion.
We grant you a simple, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the App for its intended purpose on your own devices. Passing access to third parties, reverse engineering (except where mandatory law allows it) and commercial reuse of the App or its content are not permitted. The Bible text in the App comes from public-domain editions (Luther 1912 with the Apocrypha, World English Bible Classic, “Santa Biblia libre para el mundo”); the App's illustrations and its own texts are protected by copyright. The maps build on open third-party geodata (Natural Earth, OpenStreetMap, Pleiades, OpenBible.info, Wikidata) and are subject to those licences; the credits are in the legal notice and in the app under Settings → Sources.
We aim for high availability of the App but cannot guarantee it (maintenance, outages of Apple services such as iCloud or Health, device faults). Individual features — in particular distance tracking, iCloud backup and notifications — require the corresponding permissions and a working Apple service and are outside our control. The measured distance is the one supplied by Apple Health; we do not warrant its accuracy.
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
The above limitations do not apply to damage arising from injury to life, body or health, nor to claims under the Product Liability Act; to that extent we are liable under the statutory provisions.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. As a consumer you nevertheless keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your habitual residence, which this choice of law cannot take from you. Should any provision of these Terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
These Terms are available in German, English and Spanish. In case of discrepancies between versions, the version in the language you use applies to you as a consumer.

Estas condiciones de uso rigen el uso de la aplicación móvil «HolyWalk» (la «App»), ofrecida por Jonas Polenz («nosotros»/el «Proveedor»). Al instalar y usar la App aceptas estas condiciones. Para las funciones adicionales de pago («Premium») se aplican además las Condiciones de los Servicios Multimedia de Apple, ya que la compra se gestiona íntegramente a través del sistema de compras integradas de Apple (StoreKit).
El acuerdo de licencia es la EULA estándar de Apple. La App se licencia bajo el «Standard End User License Agreement» de Apple, disponible en apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Estas condiciones se sitúan junto a él y describen qué hace la App, qué incluye Premium y cómo cancelar. No sustituyen a la EULA de Apple; en caso de contradicción, prevalece la EULA de Apple en lo relativo a la licencia del software.
HolyWalk une el caminar y la lectura de la Biblia: con tu permiso, la App lee tu distancia caminada de Apple Salud y, a medida que crece, abre uno tras otro los capítulos de la Biblia. El alcance gratuito incluye el seguimiento de la distancia, toda la Biblia — 1.189 capítulos en el canon protestante o 1.326 en el católico, según el plan de lectura que elijas, con sus ilustraciones —, el mapa de los lugares bíblicos y la pantalla de inicio con tu progreso. Ningún capítulo de la Biblia es de pago.
La oferta de pago («Premium») desbloquea funciones adicionales, entre ellas: cuatro caminos de peregrinación (Camino Francés, Via Francigena, ruta de Pablo, Vía Crucis en Jerusalén) con credencial y sellos, a los que se acredita además la misma distancia caminada; el widget de la pantalla de inicio (distancia caminada y cita bíblica actual); y «Directo al Nuevo Testamento», que abre el Antiguo Testamento de golpe y comienza tu lectura en el Nuevo Testamento a tu distancia actual — reordena el plan de lectura y no desbloquea ningún texto que no pudieras alcanzar caminando sin Premium. El alcance exacto puede cambiar con el desarrollo de la App; las reducciones sustanciales se anunciarán.
Premium está disponible como suscripción de renovación automática (mensual o anual) o como compra única con desbloqueo permanente («Premium para siempre»). Se adquiere y factura exclusivamente a través del App Store de Apple. Son vinculantes los precios mostrados en el App Store en el momento de la compra, localizados para tu país — no los precios distintos que puedan aparecer en la App o en esta página. El procesamiento del pago, la facturación y los datos de pago corresponden íntegramente a Apple; no recibimos datos de pago (tarjeta, etc.). Una compra anterior puede restaurarse en un nuevo dispositivo mediante «Restaurar compras» en la App con el mismo Apple ID.

La suscripción se renueva automáticamente por el periodo elegido (un mes o un año) salvo que se cancele al menos 24 horas antes del final del periodo en curso. La cancelación se realiza exclusivamente en los ajustes de tu cuenta de Apple ID (Ajustes → [tu nombre] → Suscripciones) — no dentro de la App, ya que Apple gestiona esto de forma centralizada para todas las suscripciones. Un periodo de facturación ya iniciado no se reembolsa proporcionalmente al cancelar; el acceso a Premium se mantiene hasta el final del periodo pagado.
La suscripción mensual puede incluir una prueba gratuita (actualmente 3 días). Si hay una prueba disponible para ti y de qué duración, se te muestra en la pantalla de compra antes de comprar; esa indicación es vinculante. Apple concede una sola prueba por Apple ID y grupo de suscripción. Si no se cancela al menos 24 horas antes del final de la prueba, la suscripción pasa automáticamente a ser de pago. La suscripción anual y la compra única no incluyen prueba.
La compra única («Premium para siempre») no es una suscripción: se paga una vez, no tiene duración, no se renueva y desbloquea Premium de forma permanente.
HolyWalk sirve para la reflexión y como motivación para moverse más. La App mide la distancia caminada y representa tu progreso a lo largo de la Biblia y — con Premium — de un camino de peregrinación. No es un producto sanitario, no hace diagnósticos, no da recomendaciones terapéuticas y no sustituye el consejo médico o terapéutico.
Tú decides bajo tu propia responsabilidad el tipo y la intensidad de tu actividad física. No te sobreexijas, escucha a tu cuerpo y consulta a un médico antes de iniciar o aumentar la actividad física — especialmente con enfermedades previas, molestias, durante el embarazo o en caso de duda. Los elementos lúdicos (capítulos que se abren con la distancia, sellos en la credencial) son meras ayudas de motivación, no una invitación a sobreesforzarse.
Te concedemos un derecho simple, intransferible y no sublicenciable a usar la App conforme a su finalidad en tus propios dispositivos. No se permite ceder el acceso a terceros, la ingeniería inversa (salvo cuando la ley lo permita imperativamente) ni la explotación comercial de la App o sus contenidos. El texto bíblico de la App procede de ediciones de dominio público (Lutero 1912 con los apócrifos, World English Bible Classic, «Santa Biblia libre para el mundo»); las ilustraciones y los textos propios de la App están protegidos por derechos de autor. Los mapas se basan en datos geográficos abiertos de terceros (Natural Earth, OpenStreetMap, Pleiades, OpenBible.info, Wikidata) y se rigen por sus respectivas licencias; la mención figura en el aviso legal y en la app en Ajustes → Fuentes.
Procuramos una alta disponibilidad de la App, pero no podemos garantizarla (mantenimiento, caídas de servicios de Apple como iCloud o Salud, fallos del dispositivo). Algunas funciones — en particular el registro de la distancia, la copia en iCloud y las notificaciones — requieren los permisos correspondientes y un servicio de Apple operativo y están fuera de nuestro control. La distancia medida es la que proporciona Apple Salud; no garantizamos su exactitud.
Respondemos sin límite en caso de dolo y negligencia grave, por daños derivados de lesiones a la vida, el cuerpo o la salud, y conforme a la Ley alemana de Responsabilidad por Productos. En caso de incumplimiento por negligencia leve de obligaciones contractuales esenciales, la responsabilidad se limita al daño previsible y típico del contrato. En los demás casos queda excluida la responsabilidad por negligencia leve.
Las limitaciones anteriores no se aplican a los daños derivados de lesiones a la vida, el cuerpo o la salud ni a las reclamaciones conforme a la Ley de Responsabilidad por Productos; en ese ámbito respondemos según las disposiciones legales.
Se aplica el derecho de la República Federal de Alemania, con exclusión de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre la Compraventa Internacional de Mercaderías. Como consumidor conservas, no obstante, la protección de las normas imperativas de protección del consumidor de tu residencia habitual, que esta elección de ley no puede quitarte. Si alguna disposición de estas condiciones fuera inválida, las restantes seguirán siendo válidas.
Estas condiciones están disponibles en alemán, inglés y español. En caso de discrepancias entre las versiones, a ti como consumidor se te aplica la versión en el idioma que utilizas.
